Ok  - very long night! Put it this way apparently I was not getting any Insulin with the Metronic - I did check and bolus - but I am so use to having highs so I just thought I didn't bolus enough (330) - so went to bed and was going to the bathroom and thristy so many times that I finally went and checked my blood, ready for this - over 600!!!!!! so I ended up going to the ER - yep - not happy and I don't know about this pump!!!

When I finally looked at the piece that goes inside I noticed it was bent at the very end so that is why I wasn't getting any insulin.  Will try again just not right now!

Well it's been awhile!  Been a hard summer, I lost my best friend on July 14 (his birthday) and didn't have funeral until August 6.  So have been emotionally drained to say the least!

Went to my 3 month visit and I am trying the medtronic for 3 days!  My doctor hates the Omni - the data that it gives him is what he hates!  So the rep was there and so we decided that I would try it, so we will see how it goes!

Well at 1:30 last night, woke from a dead sleep, still don't know what woke me up, so I looked at my CBM - low - I think it was 50.  Crap, then it started hitting me, you know the shakes, fuzzy feeling, so got up and got crackers (knew being that low I needed food not tabs), didn't help - went and got juice, didn't help.  Went and looked in the cabinet where sometimes candy can be hiding - yes reese's peanut butter cups! Ate two finally felt better went to sleep thinking ok now I'm going to be so high when I get up.  But it was only 216, I know still high but at least not as bad as I thought it would be.

Well I went to my nephew's graduation Tuesday, I still can't believe he graduated!  You know that means in 4 years my son will be graduating then the next year my daughter!  Still can't believe it.  Oh well time flies when your having fun.

My sister made a wonderful dip while I was at her house - of course it wasn't diabetic friendly, but it was so good.  It had mayo, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, bacon bits and some kind of sweet syrup on top (of course I'm getting a bottle).  You heat it in the oven and use town house crackers to dip.  It doesn't sound real good (I turned my nose up at first) but let me tell you it was the bomb!!  Of course she also had to make a chocolate bunt cake with chocolate chips and it was the same - to die for!!  Did I tell you she is diabetic too!  I guess that's what you get living in the south!

What fun, my dexcom has been ??? for over 6 hours today!!!

Does anyone have any ideas/tips to get it to work????

Well Bob is what I was forgetting!  See I was fixing to change him when I went into my desk drawer at work to get a new Bob and oh shit - none, looked in purse still no Bob!  Crap - I have to drive home to get one - would not be to bad if home was nearby - oh no - 30 minutes one way - with storms heading in!!! Lovely!

But at least I have a new Bob on and I can have a snack now!!!!

Also when I ran home my books that I had ordered were sitting on the front porch!  Sweet!  Diabetes Solutions.  I have been waiting a week for it!  So now I get to go home after work and start reading it!!

I just want to say how much I love this Dexcom (Bob)!

Well a little about me - I am 40ish and been type 1 for 2 years.  My sister has been diabetic since her early 20's so I have been around it for quite awhile. What was funny is that before I was diagnose I was having all of those wonderful symptoms and did not put 2 and 2 together! So I went to Dr. R and sure enough - my sugar was over 400!  I tried the medicine first and that was not helping - so now me and Bob (insulin pump) are now tight as ever!!

Well me and Bob are doing ok - I just wish he would quit yelling at me in the middle of the night!!!  Lows are driving me crazy!!!  Go back to Dr. T (diabetes Dr) next week so hopefully he will adjust those bolus for night time!  I don't  understand and not sure of myself to change them myself!
