Well the A1C - stayed the same 8.7 - sucks!!!  I just knew it went down! oh well I'll keep trying.

He did ask me if I wanted to do a clinical trial that starts at the end of May - of course I said yes - so I can't wait to get started.  The only thing I'm worried about is I use the omni pod (no tubing) and this is going to be a pump that is has tubing.  I swim alot in the summer and that's why I love the omni so much I don't have to remove anything!!!

He also put me on Symlin - to help my addiction to carbs!!!!  lol - hope it works!!! I have bad carb cravings!!!

So all in all I guess it was a good visit!

Well tomorrow I get to go see Dr. T - I am dreading the A1C - I hope it has gone down - it's sad I don't even remember what my A1C was last time.  I never kept up with it.  That all changes now!  I'm going to be a good girl (repeat 3 times)! lol - trying anything that might help!!

My numbers had been doing good but this week they are on a roller coaster - last night I dropped real low so ate some easter candy (I know but I can't let that good candy go to waste!) not a lot about 4 little eggs - and dang did it go over 200 and stayed there.  That is one thing I wish I understood - your in the 40's and then something small and your way up there!

Well I had a wonderful Eater, the hubs even gave me a Easter basket (he has never done that!!) .  We had lunch - ham, potatoes and baked beans! 

Then that afternoon Bob decided he didn't want to work (???) never would go off - so finally I just turned the whole unit off - but the bad part was my blood sugar was so high!!!  It took me forever to get it back down.  Woke up to a 45!!!!  So when I got to work put a new Bob on and we are back to being friends for the time being!!

Well started reading Diabetes Solutions and came across a section that he describes as the best places to prick your finger for blood.  I sat there reading it and saying oh yes that would hurt, I even read it to my husband.  So when it was time for my next blood reading I tried it - oh I was scared as shit to do it!  OMG it did not hurt as bad as I thought it would!! He says to prick your finger on the dorsum side (front) just bellow the nail bed.

I had never heard of this.  Has anyone heard of this or do I live under a rock!!

Well Bob is what I was forgetting!  See I was fixing to change him when I went into my desk drawer at work to get a new Bob and oh shit - none, looked in purse still no Bob!  Crap - I have to drive home to get one - would not be to bad if home was nearby - oh no - 30 minutes one way - with storms heading in!!! Lovely!

But at least I have a new Bob on and I can have a snack now!!!!

Also when I ran home my books that I had ordered were sitting on the front porch!  Sweet!  Diabetes Solutions.  I have been waiting a week for it!  So now I get to go home after work and start reading it!!

I just want to say how much I love this Dexcom (Bob)!

Well a little about me - I am 40ish and been type 1 for 2 years.  My sister has been diabetic since her early 20's so I have been around it for quite awhile. What was funny is that before I was diagnose I was having all of those wonderful symptoms and did not put 2 and 2 together! So I went to Dr. R and sure enough - my sugar was over 400!  I tried the medicine first and that was not helping - so now me and Bob (insulin pump) are now tight as ever!!

Well me and Bob are doing ok - I just wish he would quit yelling at me in the middle of the night!!!  Lows are driving me crazy!!!  Go back to Dr. T (diabetes Dr) next week so hopefully he will adjust those bolus for night time!  I don't  understand and not sure of myself to change them myself!
